Stretching can help heal an existing back injury and also prevent future back pain – says Anett Racz, our pilates expert.

In her previous BWG article she wrote about what could cause lower back pain and she gave you a few stretching and strengthening exercises that could ease the pain. To check out the article & the YouTube video click here!

Now she is back with another home workout. Stretching exercises for solving the same problem but in different body position.

“In my first YouTube video I started the exercises on all four. This time I invite you to do stretching with me lying on the back. This is a common starting position because your body is tension free, your pelvic, your spine and your shoulder blades are in their neutral placement. For doing the exercises more effectively I cannot stress the importance of breathing while you’re doing your workout. Incorporating breathing during the exercise will help to relax the muscles and avoid unnecessary tension. So don’t hold your breath!”
